WHAT IS CKJ?
Camp KidJam is a new concept in children’s camp designed not only for kids, but for their leaders. As a component of the Orange Strategy, developed by The reThink Group, Camp KidJam is designed around the principles of 252 Basics, which teach children to grow in wisdom, faith and friendship. Camp KidJam is designed to provide a fun experience for kids, unique workshops to develop adult leaders and to elevate the significance of Small Groups for children.
In our Jam Sessions, we’re going to engage in high-energy worship with some of the best children’s worship leaders around! You’ll experience awesome drama, and hear from a master Storyteller. We’ll also play some games and give you a chance to win points for your team.
During Small Groups, kids and leaders dive into the Bible story that was shared earlier during the Jam Sessions through activities and discussion questions. Small Groups provide a time for kids to interact with each other and connect with leaders. Camp is a great springboard for building relationships between kids and leaders.
Leadership Training is one of the things that sets Camp KidJam apart. While your kids attend tracks, we offer training for the staff and volunteers that attend camp. You’ll go to four sessions where you’ll hear from an Orange expert and get a chance to have your tough ministry questions answered. This is a great opportunity for those leaders and volunteers who can’t afford big conferences to catch the vision of what you are doing in your ministry.
WHO CAN ATTEND CAMP KIDJAM?
Kids entering the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th grades in the Fall of 2017.
HOW MANY LEADERS SHOULD I BRING?
You must have one leader for every seven kids that you'll be bringing (1:7). This means that for every seven boys, you'll need a male leader and for every seven girls, a female leader. Each dorm room will accommodate two kids or two leaders per room (most rooms are dorm suites). We will NOT allow housing arrangements with one leader and one camper in a room, so please plan accordingly. And we will not allow boy campers to attend without a male leader or girl campers to attend without a female leader.
IF I REGISTER A GROUP BEFORE THE PRICE INCREASE, BUT ADD MORE TO MY GROUP AFTER THE PRICE INCREASE, CAN I STILL GET THE LOWER PRICE?
All new registrations and additions to existing groups made on or after February 1, 2017,
will be charged the increased registration price.
WHAT IS THE COST FOR LEADERS TO ATTEND CAMP?
The cost for leaders is the exact same as the cost for kids. They will attend all the same
activites, except for Tracks/Team Competition. During that time, our staff and leaders
will take the kids, while the leaders go to Leader Training.
CAN MY BUS DRIVER STAY ON CAMPUS?
Yes, of course! To arrange a room for your bus driver and get pricing,
please email us at email@example.com.
HOW SHOULD PARENTS KEEP IN TOUCH WITH THEIR KIDS DURING CAMP?
Please give the parents of your students your cell phone number. This way they can get
in touch with their children through you or someone that is with your church.
Neither Camp KidJam nor the campus locations are responsible for getting parents
in touch with their children.
WHAT ARE TRACKS?
Tracks are classes (not the boring kind!) that kids will attend while you and your leaders
are at Leader Training. Some track options are Bust a Groove, For Dudes Exclusively,
For Girls Only, Game On, Mythbusters and many more! For a complete list of Tracks
and descriptions, please click here.
CAN PARENTS VISIT THEIR KIDS AT CAMP?
No, we do not allow parents to visit their kids while they're at camp. This is for the
safety of the kids. If we have tons of parents visiting, its hard to know who is a parent
and who is a potential stranger. We will not make any exceptions.

I REGISTERED FOR CAMP AND I AM SUPER EXCITED! BUT, NOW WHAT?
One of our CKJ staff members will be in touch with you very soon! In the meantime,
we encourage you to login to your camp account, click around and get familiar with
how everything works.
HOW DO I LOGIN TO MY ACCOUNT?
Click "Login 2017" in the top menu bar. Select your camp location. Enter your
username and password. It's just that easy! If you have any problems logging in to your
acccount, please let us know!
WHAT IS AVAILABLE IN THE CAMP STORE AND HOW MUCH SPENDING MONEY
SHOULD MY CAMPERS BRING?
We have drawstring backpacks, baseball caps, water bottles, CDs, T-shirts and more.
We also have resources for leaders, such as books and DVDs. We recommend that
campers bring no more than $30. And please make sure that their money is in a wallet
or ziploc bag, with their name on it! Camp KidJam is not responsible for replacing
lost spending money.
WE'RE THINKING ABOUT BRINGING A GROUP OF KIDS TO CAMP NEXT YEAR. CAN WE
VISIT ONE OF YOUR CAMPS THIS YEAR?
Absolutely! But, since the safety of our campers is our number one priority, we require
that every person who visits camp has a host. They will answer all of your questions,
show you around, introduce you to our staff and interns, show you all of the different
Tracks and Team Competition and treat you to lunch in the cafeteria. To schedule a visit,
please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Our visitor spots do fill up, so if you want to
schedule an appointment, please let us know as soon as you can!
